AIG Bailout

No wonder they bailed out AIG if this is true.
But, it would be just like our congress to make sure they are protected along with the big companies, but who cares about the individuals in the USA !!!!!

AIG bailout --- ????? Remember when this economic crisis hit, and Congress let Bear Stearns go under, pushed a bunch of forced marriages between banks, etc.? Then they bailed out AIG. At the time, I thought: "That's strange. What does an insurance company have to do with this crisis?" I think I just found the answer. Among other things, "AIG INSURES THE PENSION TRUST OF THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS"!! No wonder they got bailed out right away! To hell with the people, let's protect our future, said all our Senators and Congressmen. Nice to see where their loyalties lie!
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING !!!!!!!!!

  1. This is another of those silly mass emails that are mostly fictional. The Federal Reserve bailed out AIG, not Congress. Federal pensions aren't insured by AIG or any other company. Though, I still say AIG should have been left to sink or float on it's own.

  2. Yes but the fed is run by our government
so what really is the difference. They hand them our money, we have no say and then they tax us more so they can spend more.
Not to mention vote themselves pay raises after each election. Oh I'm sorry, I mentioned it. If they voted themselves a pay raise with your money before an election would you vote them back in doing the good job that they do ? Why can't people see they need to get rid of the old farts and then we might see some real needed change. Then maybe the newcomers to government might, and I stress might actually do what they intended to do when they ran for office.
I watched a movie about LBJ a few nights ago, he was just new to national office, not yet president and a long term congressman says " If you want to get along here, you better go along " And that I say is the problem. You want change, get rid of the old goats.
